Kimberly Marshall Memorial Scholarship Fund

Kimberly Marshall: July 30, 1972 – September 30, 2017

The Kimberly Marshall Scholarship fund will help Newcomers to the 12 Step Recovery program be fully immersed in Sobriety by being able to attend a Came to Believe Retreat in her memory.

“Hi, Family”… is how Kimberly usually greeted her friends in the meeting rooms of the James Club and Came 2 Believe in Clermont, FL. She loved being in these meetings, and her shares were always direct and heart-felt.

Not only did Kimberly have a strong desire to be recovered, but she had a most inquisitive mind. She was interested in the history of A.A. as well as in the stories of all of her fellows in the recovery program. She embraced the 12 Step Program, and she was diligent in her study of the Steps.

Kimberly was blessed to attend one Came to Believe Retreat and had just received her 5 Months chip in her 12 Step Recovery Program before she passed. She had deep gratitude for her sobriety, and she was living a life of service.

Kimberly’s prayers in the Came 2 Believe meetings and study groups often focused on her asking God to help her to be a better mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Many aspects of the world brought Kimberly joy. Her son, Dakota, was the brightest star of her life! She was committed to being a good mother to him. She loved her mother, Pat, and her sister, Laurie and she deeply missed her father, who had passed away 5 years ago.

Kimberly is fondly remembered by many friends at Real Life Christian Church in Clermont. Her relationships at Real Life brought her closer to the Lord. Kimberly truly LIVED her Christianity!

Anyone who knew Kimberly will speak of her beautiful smile and of her joy in helping others. God used Kimberly in her life on Earth to further His work, and He used her when He called her to her heavenly home.

Her memory lives on now through the lives of all of us whom she touched.
